VATICAN CITY (Reuters) – Pope Benedict said on Monday that saving humanity from homosexual or transsexual behavior was just as important as saving the rainforest from destruction.

Africa ... albino child

WITH their milky white skin, wispy hair and haunting, pale eyes, they are called “the living ghosts” by locals.

And the vulnerable albinos of Tanzania in East Africa have more than insults to fear.

They are being hunted down and hacked to death to satisfy a growing demand for their body parts and blood to use in black magic. (more…)

Working with the future of America has allowed me to learn more about the particular struggles each student faces in their daily battle with an educational system which is greatly outdated. The following is a list of observations and ideas about how to improve the current public school curriculum in the United States. (more…)

While Americans eagerly vote for the next president, here’s a sobering reminder: As of Tuesday, George W. Bush still has 77 days left in the White House — and he’s not wasting a minute.

President Bush’s aides have been scrambling to change rules and regulations on the environment, civil liberties and abortion rights, among others — few for the good. Most presidents put on a last-minute policy stamp, but in Mr. Bush’s case it is more like a wrecking ball. We fear it could take months, or years, for the next president to identify and then undo all of the damage. (more…)

(NaturalNews) The Bush administration has committed war crimes in Afghanistan, Iraq and Guantanamo Bay in its practice of torturing prisoners, according to the conclusions of a medical examination conducted by the organization Physicians for Human Rights.

“After years of disclosures by government investigations, media accounts, and reports from human rights organizations, there is no longer any doubt as to whether the current administration has committed war crimes,” wrote retired Maj. Gen. Antonio Taguba in the preface to the report. “The only question that remains to be answered is whether those who ordered the use of torture will be held to account. (more…)
